Common errors in shot blasting machine operation include the following:

Improper shot management:

* **Shot not added in time:** Shot blasting machines rely on the shot blaster to propel steel shot at high speed onto the workpiece surface for cleaning. Shot is a consumable. As the machine operates, the shot gradually decreases. If it is not added in time, insufficient shot will occur, affecting the shot blasting quality and cleaning effect.

* **Poor shot flow:** Gaps in the shot storage bin, wear on the shot recovery scraper, or shot clumping can cause poor shot flow during circulation, affecting the normal operation of the shot blasting machine.

* **Incorrect start-up sequence:** Failure to follow the instruction manual for starting the shot blasting machine. For example, failing to open the shot supply gate after turning on the shot blaster causes the shot blaster to run empty without shot entering, affecting the shot blasting effect.

Sometimes, the shot blasting machine door may not be opened after starting the machine, preventing the shot from entering smoothly.

Incorrect Shutdown Sequence: Prematurely shutting down the shot blaster while shot continues to enter can easily cause the motor to burn out upon restarting, damaging the equipment.

Improper Roller Speed Adjustment: The roller speed of the shot blasting machine is adjustable, but users often fail to adjust it according to the instruction manual. Roller speeds that are too fast or too slow will affect shot blasting quality, resulting in poor cleaning effects.

Loose Elevator Belt: The elevator is equipped with a belt tensioning device, but the belt may loosen during use. If the tensioning device is not adjusted in time, the elevator will be unable to complete the shot lifting task, affecting the normal operation of the shot blasting machine and potentially causing equipment damage.

To avoid these operational errors, operators should carefully read and understand the shot blasting machine's instruction manual and strictly follow the operating procedures. Regular maintenance and upkeep of the shot blasting machine are also essential, including checking the storage and flow of shot, and the working condition of key components such as the roller speed and elevator belt, to ensure normal operation and effective cleaning.
