Steel Sheet and Plate Descaling

Rolled steel products are used in many manufacturing fields. For corrosion protection and preservation, and for subsequent coating, their surfaces must be clean and free from rust or scale.

Steel sheet, plate and section descaling machines, otherwise known as Roller Conveyor Blast Machines, are designed for the mechanical descaling and/or preservation of steel surfaces in one pass.

At KNNJOO you can blast plate widths of up to 5m, at a speed of 6m per hour.

Roller Conveyor Shot Blasting Machine

The HD Type Roller Conveyor is a larger machine, usually with more wheels, for heavier/larger applications and low steel mill volumes.

The X Type Construction Blaster is a more complex roller conveyor blast machine for complex structural fabrications.

The S Type Roller Conveyor is a very heavy duty roller conveyor, designed for steel mill and shipping applications.

The Preservation Line

The Preservation Line incorporates the different stages of blasting and priming. On the preservation line, sheets and profiles are thoroughly blast cleaned and provided with a temporary corrosion protection coating. Along with the external transport unit, a preservation line consists of a pre-heating oven, a pass-through blasting machine, a painting unit and a drying tunnel with its associated slat conveyor.

Strip Descaling

For the annealing, cooling, mechanical descaling and pickling of steel strip.

The production of hot rolled strip is achieved in-line: annealing, cooling, mechanical descaling and pickling are combined in integrated processing lines. Wheelabrator shot blast systems are available for narrow, medium and wide strip and are well proven in this field of application.

Blast cleaning systems can be adjusted to comply with variations in strip width and quality grades. Roughness grades and throughfeed speeds are formulated in accordance with your production requirements.

Stainless steel, Si-alloyed strip, special steel (Carbon, Cr-Ni, titan strip) are descaled on continuous production lines. Modular extensions give the opportunity to meet practically any output demand.

High quality, uniform descaling reduces the acidic density of the subsequent chemical operation greatly, and the sludge residue in the pickling bath is substantially reduced.

Tube Descaling

KNNJOO Skew Roll machines are designed specifically for the external surface treatment of tubular products such as pipes, rods, bars and cylindrical tanks.

Most often these are used for rust removal, general steel cleaning, etching, profiling and peening.
